The Association of Shareware Professionals has renamed itself today to the Association of Software Professionals. I have written a guest post over on the ASP blog putting this name change into context. The article includes reactions from quite a few shareware industry veterans.

    This, in my view, is a sensible move, Andy. As an ex-member of the ASP, ex BOD member, ex Vice Pres and ex moderator of three sharewware newsgroups. I guess in some ways the “ex” is telling. ;-)

    Long Live Shareware. People like a shareware site just like me. Because they’d like to test a software suitable for him or not. So, shareware is such important for us. Try out Shareware Sites.
